June is Men's Health Month and today we are spotlighting Reid. He last shared his story with us 5-years ago.

Today he is a 17-year survivor of prostate cancer who is using his chance of a healthy life to help others live a healthy life - traveling to Honduras and Ecuador to help provide filters for clean water to people who really need them.

In addition, he has shared his experience at UF Health Proton Therapy Institute with friends, and a lifelong friend followed in his footsteps to also receive treatment at the proton institute in Jacksonville. When last year's unexpected mechanical shutdown threatened several of our proton rooms, our team sprang into action. By prioritizing urgent cases, extending clinic hours, and shuffling schedules, we kept every treatment on track. The result? A record-breaking 61 patients were treated in a single treatment room in one day!
