Comment or DM me the word attachment for a short video explaining how I overcame an avoidant attachment style and how you can too

This is a hill I will die on. You are not the villain. I’m not saying you don’t have work to do but please please please don’t see yourself as broken.

I see real change and transformation everyday from people willing to work the program. commit to just three months of deep work and you will have a brand new skill set and be even closer to having the relationship you long for

Comment or Adam me@the word “link” for access to my free workshop “what you’re really talking about is attunement”.

You long for a deeper connection but struggle with explaining what that should look and feel like. You’ve given your partner tasks that will hopefully fill the gap you feel.

But it doesn’t work and actually leaves you feeling more disconnected. Unseen. And uncared for

Meanwhile, you are doing so much

Comment or Dm me the word link for access to my free workshop whee I’ll explain how to get the connection you are actually looking for

Every.Single.Day. Someone gets on a call with me and says what I’ve heard a thousand times, “wow, this is so much clearer than I expected. It makes sense. NO ONE has ever explained it to me before”

IMO that’s unacceptable. Please work with people who meet this basic standard of care: they can tell you how they work and why it applies to you. They can give you a beginning, middle, and end to the treatment. They have real solutions, it just feelings to sell you.

Please excuse the snot from my two year old. It’s a losing battle

i started working on my avoidant attachment style at almost 40. it took 3 months to undo patterns that had been running my relationships for decades — and i’m going to tell you exactly what i did

im a licensed therapist, but this isn’t a special case. i see this same shift happen with clients working through avoidant attachment all the time

if you’re avoidant, or you love someone who is, the first step isn’t willpower. it’s self-regulation, reconnecting with needs you’ve learned to hide, and catching the thoughts that talk you out of a good relationship

want the full breakdown? comment or dm “attachment” and i’ll send you the video

We’re taught that better communication is the fix — say it clearer, listen more patiently, use the right words. But beneath all of that is something we’re actually longing for: feeling known by our partner. Attunement is the capacity to sense what your partner is feeling and respond in a way that tells them it matters to you — not just agreeing, not just saying the right words.

This workshop breaks down what that actually looks like — in the body, in timing, in the moments you turn toward a partner’s bid instead of past it — and why the anxious/avoidant dynamic makes it so easy to miss.

This was me 10 years ago. The journey back to myself, to my center, to my natural ability to lead and know what is right for me has literally saved my life

Since then, I have helped hundreds of men do the same thing and it is a joy to watch these men come alive and reconnect to themselves and their partners as they heal

“I want more connection”
“you don’t understand me”
“I want to feel closer to you”

I’ve heard sentences like this from the partners of my clients for years. So I started wondering, what is it that we are doing to feel seen and understood that other couples are struggling to do.

In one word, it’s ATTUNE.

Maybe it’s because we’re therapists. Maybe it’s because we didn’t get enough of it from past partners. We have learned how to make each other feel seen and understood without needing to spell it out. Didn’t happen over night. But now that we are hear, it’s working better than ever
