Center for Ocular Prosthetics She brings great care, attention to detail, and fine art to give you a brighter future with your new eye.

Based in Portland, Oregon Christina King offers a trauma-informed and friendly approach to help restore your health and confidence after a difficult experience. Christina represents one of less than 150 board-certified ocularists in the United States, and she takes over the practice from renowned ocularist Fred Harwin, who served patients for several decades. The Center for Ocular Prosthetics's patients have ranged from the tiniest of babies to the elderly. They may be survivors of bungee cord accidents, fireworks, or cancer. Christina takes the time to get to know each patient, and personalizes their eye with a tiny painting of their choice.

I feel like I need to start making a little bit more of these just to help answer some of the lingering questions that people have. Let me know what else I should cover.

Putting the pieces back, slowly but surely 💕 Love being able to make prosthetics undetectable!

Optical illusions are fun and so was this gem.

Such a cute and dainty feel to this eye. Sometimes our initial designs don’t come off well, and it’s better to rework them.
Whenever I make an eye, I try to visualize it up close and afar so that it reads well from any perspective.
