Meet Asumi Ohgushi, PT, DPT at our NE location.

She loves looking at the whole person rather than focusing on just one symptom or diagnosis. Her approach considers the bigger picture, identifying what may be challenging for each individual and where they might need additional support.

She treats both orthopedic conditions and pelvic health concerns, often helping patients navigate both at the same time. She especially enjoys working with a wide variety of individuals, including those with hypermobility and chronic conditions like endometriosis. Her care is rooted in a trauma-informed approach and a Health at Every Size® perspective, with an emphasis on individualized, compassionate care.

Earlier this month, three of our own PTs: Ava, Caitlin, and Milana recently teamed up to create a presentation for our Whole Body Health clinicians on Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD) and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS).

They covered:
• Intervention ideas and exercise considerations
• Ways to approach care for the hypermobile patient
• Red flags and important considerations
• Building strength, stability, and confidence
• How to individualize treatment based on each patient’s presentation
• Ways we can advocate for patients navigating complex healthcare systems
• The importance of listening to and validating our patients’ experiences

Biggest takeaway:
Hypermobility can look very different from person to person, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

We’re grateful to have a team that values continued education, collaboration, and sharing knowledge so we can continue to provide thoughtful, patient-centered care!

Part 2 of their presentation is coming soon with real case study examples- stay tuned!

Meet Phoebe Brown, PT, DPT at our NE location.

Whether that’s returning to running, getting back to work, recovering after surgery, or simply moving with less pain, she believes physical therapy works best when it’s a true partnership. Her approach is centered around listening, collaborating, and giving patients the tools they need to feel confident long after they’ve finished treatment.

Phoebe enjoys treating a wide variety of orthopedic conditions, with special interests in sports rehab, post-surgical recovery, spine care, TMJ dysfunction, chronic pain, and pediatric/adolescent injury prevention.

When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll probably find her out on a run, directing a high school running camp, tending to her garden, or picking up a good book.
