Two ice cream trucks just pulled up to University Village, and neither one of them had an engine.

Matthew and Alicia delivered popsicles around our quarterly resident meeting riding matching tricycles, one dressed up as a full blown ice cream truck and the other in full ice cream man attire.

It’s the kind of surprise that makes an ordinary afternoon a little sweeter, and exactly the kind of thing you’ll find happening at our senior living community in Tulsa.

There’s a 95 year old at University Village who would like a word with anyone who thinks retirement means slowing down.

Meet Phyllis. Our Wii Bowling GOAT.

Over the past three seasons she has made the top eight in 27 out of 30 games, racked up 16 perfect 300 scores, and once threw 33 strikes in a row across three straight games. At 95.

This is what staying active looks like in our senior living community in Tulsa, and we would not have it any other way.

The UV Okies and Burgundy Place may be just down the road from each other but when the season is on the line everybody comes to play.

The Okies took care of business. Two matches left. A sixth straight undefeated season within reach.

This team started the year going viral for being one of the most dominant dynasties in sports right now. They're not done proving it.

Somewhere along the way we got the wrong idea about what senior living looks like.

It doesn't look like slowing down. It doesn't look like waiting.
