School Holidays Are Here! ๐ŸŽ’โœจ

With the break from school routines, you might notice your child stimming a bit more than usual (like hand-waving, rocking, or pacing).

Why? Routine shifts bring big emotions. Stimming is just their natural, brilliant way to process sensory overwhelm and find their balance.

Instead of asking โ€œHow do we stop it?โ€, let's ask: โ€œWhat is my child communicating right now?โ€ โค๏ธ

Grateful to have been invited to sit on the panel at the St Peter's Woodlands Grammar School Reception Ready Workshop this week.

As a Therapeutic Social Worker and Autism Consultant, it was a privilege to collaborate alongside school leadership and fellow allied health professionals.

Our biggest collective message for families: school readiness isnโ€™t about perfection -itโ€™s about helping children feel safe, supported, and confident to begin.

Thank you to the school team and all the wonderful families for such meaningful community conversations around regulation and neuroaffirming support.

(P.S. Swipe through the last couple of images to see a few of the slides we discussed on 'The Transition Pathway' and 'After-School Realities'-helpful guides for navigating this big milestone.)

When it comes to major developmental transitions, emotional stability and clinical structure are everything.

Next Tuesday evening, our Principal Consultant, Bikram Yogi (Therapeutic Social Worker & Autism Consultant), will be speaking at St Peter's Woodlands Grammar School for their 'Reception Ready' specialist panel.

The presentation will focus on equipping families with the specialised behavioral and emotional frameworks needed to navigate high-pressure milestones with confidence.

Our practice is proud to continue expanding trust and supporting both the neurotypical and neurodivergent communities as young learners take their next big steps. ๐Ÿ’ผ๐Ÿซ
