Hands up if the word "should" gets a regular workout in your head. 🙋

It might seem harmless, but "should" can quietly pile on pressure, guilt and self judgement. It keeps us focused on what we're not doing, rather than recognising what's already working.

That's why we're not big fans of the s-word.

Swipe through to explore why "should" can get in the way of motivation, recovery and self compassion, plus some simple ways to shift the conversation.

One small change? Swap "I should..." for "I feel..." or "I know I benefit when..."

💜 Instead of: "I should meditate more."
✨ Try: "I feel calmer when I make time to meditate."

Small shifts in language can create big shifts in mindset.

Why do we gaze up at the clear, blue skies at OG*D?

Because we see the light on days you might only see clouds. Our team, grounded in their own lived experiences with mental health, truly gets it. We're not here to lead; we're here to walk beside you, believing in you more than you might believe in yourself right now.

That's our promise, to be there through every step of the journey. The perseverance. The resilience. The victories, both big and small. Through every high and every low.

We know the path isn't always straight or easy, but one moment of clarity leads to one minute of peace, which blooms into one beautiful, blue-sky day. And from there, the possibilities are endless.

Drop us a 👍 below if you're ready to uncover more blue-sky days together with a team that understands because we've been there too!

We talk a lot about goals in recovery.
But before the goals comes trust.

Trust to be honest. Trust to talk about the things that are hard. Trust that someone will listen without judgement and genuinely care about what matters to you.

At One Good* Day, we believe the best Recovery Coaching starts with real human connection. Everything else grows from there. 🖤

Same tee. Same commitment. Same belief in showing up for people when it matters most.

At One Good* Day, our Recovery Coaches all bring different lived and learned experiences, different personalities, and different perspectives. But what connects us is bigger than that.

A shared commitment to walking alongside people through the hard days, the hopeful days, and everything in between 💛

Sometimes a plan review is one of the few moments people pause and really reflect on their growth.

Not just the big milestones, but the quieter progress too. Building confidence. Asking for help. Reconnecting with community. Feeling more steady day to day.

In our latest blog, we explore how Psychosocial Recovery Coaching supports people through plan reviews with ongoing conversations, preparation, and support that happens across the whole year.

Support for your Psychosocial Recovery Coaching plan review so you feel prepared, steady, and clear.

Recovery Coaching changes lives and the research backs it up.

A few years ago, One Good* Day partnered with the and University to explore the impact of Psychosocial Recovery Coaching for NDIS participants living with mental health challenges.

What participants told us was powerful:
✨ Feeling more supported and understood
✨ Greater confidence navigating the NDIS
✨ Improved social connection
✨ More choice, control and hope for the future

The research also highlighted something we care deeply about at OG*D. Supporting our team properly matters too because supported practitioners provide better support.

At its core, Recovery Coaching is about building trust, walking alongside people and helping create more good* days over time.

Different backgrounds. Different stories. Different life experiences. One seriously good* team. ✨

At One Good* Day, lived experience isn’t just something we talk about. It’s something many of our team carry with them every single day. Alongside professional knowledge, it shapes the way we listen, support, advocate and show up for people.

No two Recovery Coaches are the same and that’s exactly the point.
Our team is made up of people with different strengths, perspectives and journeys because recovery doesn’t look the same for everyone, and neither should support.

The result? Real conversations. Genuine understanding. Support that feels human.

Feeling a bit stuck in the mud lately? We’re here for you.

Recovery has good days and hard days. Sometimes the hard days feel heavier and harder to move through.

But even the muddiest puddles don’t last forever.

Aim for tomorrow to feel just a little lighter than today. Watch your comfort show. Read a few pages of a good book. Spend time with someone who makes you feel safe.

And remember, the sun always rises. ☀️
