Our Biggest Morning Tea was a fantastic success, raising $400 for vital cancer research! It was wonderful to see family members join our residents, bringing homemade treats for everyone to enjoy. A huge thank you to our staff for popping in for a plate and contributing to such an important cause.

Our residents had a wonderful time at Whitsunday Christian College last Friday for a fantastic student performance of Peter Pan. Afterward, the group headed to Cannonvale Beach for a relaxing lunch, perfectly topped off with classic ice cream cones from McDonalds.

It’s been a busy and delightful week! Residents loved the very first art class led by our talented resident, Jill, creating truly unique masterpieces. On Wednesday, everyone enjoyed a scenic lunch outing to the Palace Hotel. Back at Crystalbrook, the ice cream trolley was a massive hit with both residents and staff!We also celebrated International Nurses Day on Tuesday, treating our wonderful staff to a sausage sizzle and fresh muffins from Little Vintage Cafe. To show our appreciation, each staff member received a nurse-themed brooch and a raffle ticket for a chance to win a tumbler, kindly donated by one of our own team members.

Last week was a truly wonderful week filled with community spirit. Residents enjoyed a cozy session baking traditional Anzac biscuits, paired perfectly with a warm cuppa. Others took in the stunning views on a scenic bus drive to Cape Gloucester.

A massive highlight was our Mother’s Day cent sale, which was a huge success, raising close to $1,500 to support future activities in the home!
We are extremely grateful to the Proserpine Lions Ladies Auxiliary for supporting our cent sale with a wonderful assortment of goods and the 8 generous $25 IGA vouchers for our raffle.

A huge thank you to our gardener, Peter, for the lovely donation of fresh flowers; they made our Mother’s Day afternoon tea feel truly special, and it was wonderful to deliver vases to each wing for everyone to enjoy over the weekend.
