Chase the Chill Edmonton – Spreading Warmth and Kindness!

We were so happy to welcome Brenda from Chase the Chill for a visit and presentation!
Brenda shared with us the wonderful work this charity does to help people in Edmonton stay warm during the cold winter months. Through the generosity of volunteers and donors, they provide warm scarves, mittens, and blankets to those who need them most.

One of the things that makes their work so special is how they hang scarves and other warm items around Edmonton, giving people the opportunity to take what they need to help keep themselves warm.
It’s such a simple yet meaningful act of kindness that reminds us how much a little warmth can mean to someone facing the cold.

🎃🍂 A Spooktacular Night at Pumpkins After Dark! 🍂🎃

Last night, residents from Chartwell Hawthorn and Chartwell Wescott headed out for a magical evening at Pumpkins After Dark! 🎃

Although the weather was a little rainy and brisk, it didn’t dampen our spirits! We enjoyed wandering through the beautiful displays, admiring the incredible pumpkin creations, and taking in all the amazing sights along the way. 👻

It was a wonderful evening filled with smiles, laughter, and great memories made together! Sometimes, a little chilly weather just makes a fun outing even more memorable.

We had such a wonderful time celebrating our September birthdays! 🥳 Unfortunately, our scheduled music entertainment had to cancel at the last minute, but one of our very own residents, Louise, came to the rescue! 🎸❤️

Louise generously offered to play her guitar for us, and our residents had an absolute blast singing along and enjoying the music. What a special reminder of the wonderful talents and kindness within our residence!

Our residents at Chartwell Hawthorn recently took a wonderful trip down memory lane with our Armchair Travel adventure through Canada in the 1950s and 1960s! 🍁

It was a special journey filled with familiar sights, music, stories, and memories from days gone by. Our residents enjoyed sharing their own experiences and reminiscing about what life was like during those memorable decades.

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and “I remember that!” moments along the way. ❤️

What a wonderful reminder that sometimes the best journeys are the ones that bring us back to the memories we hold dear. 🇨🇦🚌💭

Today, Chartwell Hawthorn joined our fellow Chartwell homes in Edmonton to participate in the Parkinson Association of Alberta’s Step and Stride Walk in support of Parkinson’s awareness and research.
It was a beautiful day to come together for such a meaningful cause! 💙 We were especially proud that some of our residents who weren’t able to make it to Rundle Park still found a way to participate by walking around our building in support of this important event.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, cheered us on, and helped make a difference.
