Are you looking for support, advice, or information for yourself or someone you care about?

Older people, their families, carers, unpaid carers, and local residents across Amber Valley are invited to attend a friendly community event where you can speak face-to-face with a range of local organisations all in one place.

This event may be helpful if you:

✅ Care for an older parent, relative, neighbour, or friend
✅ Are unsure where to turn for help

Update: 10.08.26 - We are pleased to confirm that internet access has now been restored and normal services have resumed.

Urgent Update – Ripley Site
Unfortunately, we are still without internet access at our Ripley site. Following careful consideration, the decision has been made to close the Ripley surgery for today.

Reception staff will be contacting patients with appointments at Ripley today to kindly asking them to attend our Leabrooks site instead.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience while this issue is being resolved.

Urgent Notice to Patients:

We are currently experiencing an internet outage at our Ripley practice, which is being investigated by our IT department as a priority. At present, our Leabrooks site remains unaffected.

As a result, we are temporarily unable to access our computers and clinical systems from the Ripley site. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to resolve the issue.

The drop in evening is open to EVERYONE in our local communities and is totally FREE to attend!

Advisors from ARCH Primary Care Network, Live Life Better Derbyshire, Places Leisure, Amber Valley CVS, Amber Valley Borough Council and Amber Valley Partnership will be delivering the evening and offering amazing health and wellbeing support and guidance.

Dehydration means your body loses more fluids than you take in. If it's not treated, it can get worse and become a serious problem.

If you're being sick or have diarrhoea and are losing too much fluid, you need to put back the sugar, salts and minerals your body has lost.

A pharmacist can recommend oral rehydration solutions. These are powders that you mix with water and then drink.

Ask your pharmacist which rehydration solutions are right for you or your child.

📣Changes to Swiftqueue Login📣

From 1 July 2026, the Swiftqueue login option will be removed. All patients, whether new or existing users, will be required to sign in using an NHS Login when booking appointments through the Swiftqueue website.

For patients who do not currently have an NHS Login A new, simplified registration process will be introduced, making it easier to create an NHS Login and book appointments online. Patients will be able to:
▫️Register online without uploading photo ID
▫️Create an NHS Login more quickly and easily
▫️Access blood test appointment booking services online

Patients can continue to manage their appointments through the Swiftqueue patient portal, including:
▫️Cancelling appointments
▫️Rescheduling appointments
▫️Viewing booking details
