🍂 Have Your Flu Vaccine at Dronfield Medical Practice 🍂

If you're eligible for a free NHS flu vaccination this year, we'd be grateful if our patients chose to have it with us at Dronfield Medical Practice.

Many patients don't realise that GP practices purchase flu vaccines in advance for eligible patients. When a vaccine has been ordered for our clinics but is not used because a patient chooses to have their vaccination elsewhere, the practice may still incur the cost of that vaccine if it is not used.

By having your flu vaccination with us, you're helping to support your local GP surgery.

✅ Income from our flu clinics is reinvested directly into patient care and practice services.

✅ You're supporting your local NHS GP surgery and helping us continue to provide high-quality care for our community.

✅ If you're eligible for a COVID vaccination this autumn, we can provide both vaccines during the same appointment.

Our team deliver the majority of our flu clinics and generously give their own time to do so, because they are committed to protecting the health of our patients and community.

📢 Flu and Covid Vaccination Clinics Update

🦠Our autumn Flu and Covid vaccination clinics start in October. Eligible patients will be invited to book appointments from September.

🙏🏼This year it is more important than ever to support us by having your vaccine at the surgery — we buy our vaccines in, and avoiding waste is essential.🙏🏼

We also have some exciting news - one of our planned clinics will fall on Halloween, so expect fancy dress costumes 👻, pumpkins 🎃 and a few treats too 💉🍬. We may even persuade ‘Count Barr’ to make an appearance! 🧛🏻‍♂️🦇

We will also have some midweek appointments, dates to be confirmed. 🗓️

Coming in September : A New Look Website 🖥️

In response to patient feedback from the GP Patient Survey, we are updating our website to provide a clearer, more accessible, and easier-to-use experience. We are working closely with our PPG in this and look forward to sharing these improvements with you soon. ☺️

UPDATED

The 2026 GP Patient Survey results are now available, and we are pleased to see that we continue to score significantly above the national average across most key areas. Overall, patient experience at the practice was rated 7% higher than the national average. ☺️

While we are encouraged that our results remain well above the national average, we will continue to review patient feedback carefully and look for opportunities to improve our services further.
