Free Film Screening of The Low Road on Thursday 10th September at 7pm

Last November we attempted to host a film screening of The Low Road. A poignant, fictional account about the toll mental health crisis is taking on our young adults, the film follows a guilt-ridden and heart-broken young woman who hikes Scotland’s West Highland Way to find salvation after the su***de of her best friend at university.

Unfortunately, the evening of the screening coincided with Orkney being plunged into darkness due to a technical fault leading to a mass electricity outage.

The free screening is now rescheduled for Thursday 10th September, World Su***de Prevention Day. All are welcome to attend this free screening.

GP Practices System Updates - Islands View/Rousay and Daisy Villa Patients

We are now well underway with our GP Practices System Updates with just Islands View/Rousay and Daisy Villa to go!

🔵 For Daisy Villa patients, the practice have asked for any patients who may require repeat medication from the 2 - 9 September, to please submit their prescription request before Wednesday 2 September
🔵 Urgent medication requests will continue to be managed during the transition period, although patients may occasionally be asked to collect medication from one of the community pharmacies in Kirkwall (during the transition period only)

We'd like to thank everyone for their co-operation as we navigated the updates so far, as a reminder these are being rolled out across NHS Scotland and are designed to modernise our primary care IT systems, improving performance and resilience. Ensuring we have a consistent and secure platform for the delivery of patient care for the years to come.

As mentioned Islands View/Rousay and Daisy Villa are our final updates and details are in the image below.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your support during this process.
