𝗙𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 & 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗚𝗬 – 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 £𝟮𝟱𝟬

📋 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗜𝗦

A focused clinical assessment and behavioural analysis for people aged 17+ who need more than a brief opinion, generic advice or a list of possible explanations.

The assessment is completed by Joe Ramsay, an NMC-registered Mental Health Nurse and Complex Behaviour Consultant with more than ten years of clinical experience, including CAMHS crisis care, A&E mental-health liaison, Intensive Home Treatment and primary-care mental-health services. His specialist work focuses on ADHD, autism, PDA, complex behaviour, clinical formulation, behaviour analysis and practical strategic planning.

This assessment is for one main difficulty that needs proper exploration and a clear, practical strategy.

Rather than simply recording symptoms or describing what has been happening, I look beneath the surface to understand the pattern: what may be driving the difficulty, what may be keeping it going and where change is most likely to make a meaningful difference.

It draws on the same specialist clinical and behavioural-analysis approach as the Complex Clinical Assessment, but is designed for a smaller or more contained situation that can be safely and properly explored within one hour.

You receive a detailed written report and personalised strategy explaining:

- What is happening
- Why it may be happening
- What may be keeping the difficulty going
- What to prioritise next
- What can realistically help

👥 𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥

This package is suitable where there is one main difficulty or a situation that can be safely and properly explored within one hour.

It may be appropriate for:

- Anxiety, stress, low mood or emotional distress
- Emotional dysregulation, overwhelm, shutdown or avoidance
- One specific difficulty connected to ADHD or autism
- A situation where you have tried to manage things yourself but are not seeing progress
- Conflicting advice or support that does not seem to fit
- A difficulty that feels clear on the surface, but where the reasons behind it are harder to understand

It can be particularly helpful where you know something is not working but cannot yet see the pattern clearly enough to understand what needs to change.

If you are unsure whether this is the right level of assessment, the free consultation will help establish whether one hour is sufficient or whether the Complex Clinical Assessment would be more appropriate.

This package is not normally suitable where there is significant trauma, PDA, several complex or interconnected difficulties, repeated crises, substantial risk concerns, or wider household and relationship patterns requiring full formulation. These situations will usually require the Complex Clinical Assessment.

🗣️ 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦

We begin with a free consultation to understand the difficulty and make sure the right amount of assessment time is being booked.

During the one-hour assessment, I explore the relevant history, current presentation, behavioural patterns, existing support, strengths and the wider factors influencing the difficulty.

Using clinical questioning and behavioural analysis, I look at:

- What happens before, during and after the difficulty
- Possible triggers, pressures, demands, unmet needs and environmental factors
- How the person and those around them respond
- Patterns that may be unintentionally maintaining or escalating the difficulty
- The possible role of mental health, neurodivergence, relationships, previous experiences and context
- What has already been tried, what has helped and what has not

Following the assessment, I analyse the information and bring it together into a clear clinical and behavioural understanding.

You receive a written report that explains the pattern and turns it into realistic, prioritised next steps, rather than leaving you with a conversation to interpret on your own.

📄 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗦

Your report brings the information together into a clear, structured understanding of the situation.

It may include:

- Relevant history and background
- Current presentation
- Previous and current support
- Strengths and protective factors
- Areas requiring support
- Clinical impressions
- Consideration of relevant clinical risk, where appropriate
- Behavioural analysis
- Likely triggers, patterns and maintaining factors
- The interaction between mental health, neurodivergence, behaviour and environment
- What is currently known, what remains uncertain and what may require further exploration
- Personalised recommendations
- A prioritised strategy and action plan

Reports are typically around 8–12 pages, depending on what is explored during the assessment.

The report does not simply repeat the conversation. It provides a professional formulation of the difficulty: a clear explanation of the likely pattern, the factors contributing to it and the practical changes most likely to reduce pressure and create progress.

⭐ 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗔𝗚𝗘

Choose this package if you need a proper clinical understanding of one specific difficulty, rather than reassurance, generic suggestions or broad advice.

The value lies in the analysis. You receive a clear explanation of why the difficulty may be happening, what may be unintentionally keeping it going and where to focus your energy first.

This can prevent you from trying multiple approaches at random, following advice that does not fit your circumstances, or spending months addressing the visible problem without understanding what sits underneath it.

It gives you access to the same specialist clinical and behavioural-analysis approach used within the Complex Clinical Assessment, without paying for more assessment time than your situation requires.

𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗫 𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 & 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗚𝗬 – 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 £𝟰𝟵𝟱

📋 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗜𝗦

A specialist clinical assessment and behavioural analysis for complex, longstanding or multifaceted situations.

I am Joe Ramsay, an NMC-registered Mental Health Nurse and Complex Behaviour Consultant with more than ten years of clinical experience, including CAMHS crisis care, A&E mental-health liaison, Intensive Home Treatment and primary-care mental-health services. My specialist work focuses on ADHD, autism, PDA, complex behaviour, clinical formulation, behavioural analysis and practical strategic planning.

Rather than simply identifying individual problems, this assessment explains why they may be occurring, what may be maintaining them and how the different people, behaviours and pressures within the situation affect one another.

It brings together mental health, neurodevelopment, behaviour, trauma, relationships, family dynamics and environmental influences into one coherent understanding.

This allows the strategy to address the underlying causes, interactions and feedback loops rather than simply managing individual symptoms.

👥 𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥

This package is suitable for:

- One adult with complex or interacting difficulties
- A child or young person assessed alongside their parent or carers
- A family involving up to two adults and one child

It is particularly appropriate where trauma, PDA, autism, ADHD, OCD, aggression, avoidance, problematic screen use, learning disabilities, emotional wellbeing or family dynamics interact.

For significant PDA presentations, the assessment can explore the wider household rather than treating the child’s behaviour in isolation.

This includes how demands, autonomy, anxiety, regulation, communication and the responses of other family members interact and create behavioural feedback loops.

Where relevant, the report can include individual profiles, explanations and recommendations for the people directly involved.

🗣️ 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦

We begin with a free consultation to understand the situation, establish who needs to participate and ensure sufficient assessment time is booked.

This is followed by an assessment lasting up to two hours.

The assessment may explore:

- Developmental history
- Current difficulties
- Mental health
- Neurodevelopment
- Trauma
- Behavioural patterns
- Relationships and communication
- Sensory needs
- Environmental pressures
- Household dynamics

Using my behavioural-analysis approach, I identify how these factors interact, the feedback loops maintaining the difficulties and where intervention is most likely to create meaningful and lasting change.

The findings are then brought together into a comprehensive written report containing a detailed behavioural formulation, personalised recommendations and a structured longer-term strategy.

📄 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗦

Your report includes everything within the Focused Clinical Assessment, plus:

- Comprehensive behavioural analysis
- Individual profiles, where relevant
- Factors driving and maintaining the difficulties
- Behavioural and emotional feedback loops
- Household, relational and environmental influences
- The interaction between mental health, autism, ADHD, PDA, trauma, sensory processing and other relevant factors
- An explanation of why previous approaches may not have worked
- Enhanced recommendations linked directly to the analysis
- Prioritised short-, medium- and longer-term actions
- A structured 12-month strategy
- Guidance for parents, carers, partners and other relevant people
- Multi-agency guidance for communication with GPs, CAMHS, CMHTs, schools, colleges, employers or local authorities

Reports are typically around 15–30 pages, depending on the complexity of the situation.

➕ 𝗙𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗬 𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 – £𝟭𝟱𝟬

The base package covers up to two adults and one child.

Where two to four children need to be actively included, the Family Extension adds one assessment hour and the related analysis and report writing.

Children who only need to be briefly mentioned as part of the household background do not require an extension.

The extension is used where their own presentation, needs, behaviour or role within the household requires proper exploration and inclusion within the strategy.

⭐ 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗔𝗚𝗘

Choose this package when the situation cannot be understood by looking at one difficulty or one person in isolation.

It provides a detailed clinical and behavioural explanation of how the different factors and people connect, what is keeping the difficulties going and where change is most likely to make the greatest difference.

The result is one coherent understanding and one practical strategy that individuals, families and professionals can work from together.
