Keeping track of appointments..

If you or a family member is living with dementia, keeping track of appointments, questions and advice can sometimes feel overwhelming.

The Alzheimer’s Society “My Appointments” booklet is a useful tool to help keep all your appointment information together. It provides space to record appointment details, questions you want to ask, notes from the appointment, advice given and any follow-up needed.

If you or a family member would find a copy helpful, please ask at our front desk and we will be happy to help.

💉 Flu & COVID Vaccinations – Autumn 2026

We’re currently busy planning our flu and COVID vaccination clinics for autumn 2026.

We know that invitations are already being sent out nationally, so please don’t worry if you haven’t heard from us yet.

St Fillans will be offering flu and COVID vaccinations in practice to eligible patients, and we’ll be sending out our invitations soon.

As soon as our clinics are live, we’ll let you know through our social media pages, notices around Reception and, where appropriate, by contacting patients directly via text or phone call.

There’s no need to contact us just yet, we’re simply getting all our plans in order before we get started! 💉😊

We are providing this service to our patients should you wish to have your vaccine at our surgery.

Thank you for your patience, and keep an eye out for your invitation 😉

⚠️ IMPORTANT PATIENT NOTICE – “GHOST PATIENTS”

NHS England is carrying out a patient-list validation exercise to identify patients who may have moved away or are no longer registered with their GP practice.

Dr Adam Janjua, CEO of Lancashire and Cumbria LMCs, has created a music video highlighting concerns surrounding the FP69 patient-list validation process.

If you receive an official letter asking you to confirm your details, please do not ignore it. Make sure you respond within the stated timeframe so that your GP registration is not put at risk.

Please share this message so that patients, particularly those who may be vulnerable or less likely to see these notices, are aware and can take appropriate action.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Over 40? Get your blood pressure checked.
High blood pressure often has no obvious symptoms, so you may not know you have it.

If you’re over 40, make sure you get your blood pressure checked regularly.
It only takes a few minutes and could help spot a problem early.
Don’t put it off get checked, know your numbers and look after your health.

Attention all patients!! 🚨
NHS England is currently checking GP patient lists and contacting people who may have moved or may no longer be living at the address held by their GP.

If you receive a letter asking you to confirm your details, please don’t ignore it. Make sure you follow the instructions and reply within the time given. 🙏🙏

There are concerns that patients who are removed from GP lists could miss important appointments and reminders, including cancer screening, health checks and other routine care.

Please also check with your GP practice that your address, phone number and other contact details are up to date.

This is particularly important for elderly or vulnerable patients who may not be aware of the changes or may need help responding to a letter.

Please share this post with family, friends and neighbours so they are aware.
It only takes a few minutes to check your details, but it could prevent problems later.

RSV Vaccinations – Patient Update

We've been receiving a high number of calls today from our patients regarding RSV vaccinations following text messages sent by NHS England.

Please don't worry – we will be offering RSV vaccinations at St Fillans Medical Centre. Our team is currently busy organising vaccine stock and planning our clinics so that we can offer appointments as soon as possible.

Please note: The initial invitation text is sent by NHS England, not by St Fillans Medical Centre.

If you wish to pop your name on our waiting list please call our reception teams from 11am after the morning rush. We will then contact you once our RSV delivery has arrived and our clinics have been set up. Alternatively please call us from next week so we can get you booked in over the phone.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we get everything ready. 💙
