🏆 Some of the St Fillans team escaped the surgery on Tuesday evening to take part in the Corporate Workforce Challenge The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre

Three heats. Three opportunities for glory.

❄️ Dr Bennett and Sue proved that years of GP multitasking pay off, sweeping, sliding and strategising all at once is basically a normal Tuesday in primary care.

⛳ Vicky and Nikki were the silent assassins of crazy golf. While everyone else was talking tactics, they were casually dropping hole-in-ones like processing repeat prescriptions.

🍟 And then came our strongest event...... Enjoy a lovely meal of fish and chips. After years of NHS training, eating lunch between meetings, patients and endless emails, this may have been our true calling!

Sadly, we didn't bring home the trophy, but we did bring home our dignity (mostly), a few bragging rights, and some very full stomachs.

Getting out of the surgery together was just what the doctor ordered, and although we weren't crowned champions, they're definitely winners in our hearts. ❤️

Diabetes Week raises awareness of the realities of living with diabetes and challenges stigma, blame and judgement. Diabetes UK research shows that 8 in 10 people living with diabetes have experienced stigma, which can negatively affect wellbeing and engagement.

Being aware could also make all the difference. Common symptoms can include:
• Feeling very thirsty
• Needing to wee more often
• Feeling tired
• Unexplained weight loss
• Blurred vision

If you’re concerned about symptoms, don’t ignore them, make an appointment today.

Let’s help spread awareness, encourage healthy habits, and support one another 💙

📢 Patient Notice

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our Admin and Reception teams are currently operating at reduced capacity. This may mean a slightly longer wait when contacting us by telephone, and we appreciate your understanding during this time.

For administrative queries, please make use of the Admin Triage option available on our website wherever possible.

https://accurx.nhs.uk/patient-initiated/p81018

Please be assured that Clinical Triage services are not affected and remain the quickest route for a GP to review your clinical concerns.

We would like to thank you for your patience if you experience any delays, and we kindly ask for your continued kindness and understanding towards our team members, who are working incredibly hard to keep everything running smoothly.

The coffee is brewing, the good biscuits are out, and our team is doing their very best! ☕🍪

Thank you for your support and understanding.

☎️ This video gives a little insight into what our reception team deal with every day.

While it might sometimes seem like they're "just answering calls", the reality is that every call is different and every patient has a different story to tell.

If you've ever had to wait in the queue, please remember that the caller before you may have needed a little extra time and support. Every call matters, and we will make sure every call gets the help it needs.

After all, they're the first point of contact for our patients and that's no small task 😉

Receptionists are not ‘just admin’ — they are patient advocates, navigating complex systems to get people the care they need. They are the gateway to the cli...
