Lord, speak to our hearts & let us know when the enemy is focused on distractions & contamination the enemy wants to use & show us Your Way to escape!

We want to keep our lives & hearts tuned in & yielded to You!

He, God is The Vine, we are the branches! Don't mess with this . . . Just line up with IT BECAUSE whoever bears much fruit!

Why? Because apart from Him . . . you can accomplish nothing!
. . I have called you friends, because I have revealed to you everything I heard from my Father. John 15:15 NET

Furthermore, we're God’s friends . . . Because He has (or wants to) reveal everything He's heard from His Father . . . to us! It's up to us, our starting point is John 15:5

And if children, then heirs (namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ) – if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him. Romans 8:17 NET

And that's the potential!

All of us have probably had times of being given mercy! We've really appreciated those times!

Our biggest & best illustration of Mercy is God's in sending His Only Son to take our sins on Himself on the Cross!

As His followers, we're to offer tenderness & mercy to others & thereby being God's ambassadors!

The call here is for consistency. In making pottery, there's a phrase: ‘without wax’. Pottery that developed cracks when fired (baked) was often waxed before painting . . . to conceal the cracks! BUT, the cracks could be seen if the pottery was held up to the sunlight!

God is calling us to be ‘without wax’ - the real deal - not fake! Sooner or later that'll show up!

Having cravings is normal & God-given! What we do with them . . . is up to us . . . Not Him!

His suggestion is to turn towards Him & look for His Guidance!

So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life. Proverbs 4:23 TPT

The affections of my/your heart are not readily seen by others. But each of us needs to guard them carefully because they reveal & directly affect all that I am/you are!

Furthermore, everything we do flows from there & is the wellspring of our lives! This is not negotiable . . . IT JUST IS & HAPPENS!!!

AND we WILL NEED the power of God to activate & empower us in this!

Here's the Waymaker: “We (can) demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, by taking captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ!” 2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV
