A friendly reminder that the Medicare Safety Net resets on 1 January each year.

If you have completed at least one round of IVF/ICSI treatment in 2026 and are considering another fertility treatment cycle before the end of the year, now is a great time to get organised and make the most of your Medicare rebates. Having a subsequent IVF/ICSI cycle in the same calendar year means you will receive higher Medicare rebates on eligible out-of-pocket medical expenses.

Time for a very special Meet the Staff Monday introducing our amazing Dr. Anne Clark 😍

Dr. Clark founded Fertility First and has operated as Medical Director since 1997 - almost 30 years of service to the people of Hurstville and beyond 🩺 she started Fertility First because she had been working in the IVF field in big units and thought it was time to see more female-led, smaller clinics; a place where she would feel more boutique, and would treat patients the way she would want herself or her family members to be treated 🍍 Dr. Clark’s fun fact is that she has always loved new experiences: seeing the northern lights in Lapland, the Golden Eagle Festival in Mongolia, kayaking through the ocean in Antarctica, and more recently seeing the polar bears in the Arctic! She’s been to all seven continents and has been spreading joy through each one 🌼

Dr. Clark’s ethos is rooted in helping others, and she believes that doing so is its own reward. She loves seeing patients from the start of treatment to the wonderful end result 🤱

Thanks for dreaming up Fertility First and making it all happen, Dr. Clark! We couldn’t do it without you 💛

Celebrating 10 years of having the wonderful Liz on our staff!

One thing that sets Fertility First apart is our fantastic group of staff. Each person brings such a wonderful, family spirit to the clinic, which we think makes all the difference in setting Fertility First apart! We want you, as a patient, to feel like you’re part of our family as well 💛

Dr. Clark is answering one of your most frequently asked questions today, and that is, “How long does an IVF cycle take?”

The full cycle from first taking the fertility drugs to theater can range from any place between 2-3 weeks. This is how long you should plan for in terms of treatment. A woman may need several treatment cycles before falling pregnant, however, so don’t give up hope if it doesn’t happen right away! 💛

Happy Monday everyone! We’re back today with another Meet the Staff Monday 😊 Today, we’re saying hi to Tracie 👋

Tracie is our Lab Director here at Fertility First and has been working with us since 2004! Her favorite part of the job is helping her patients, especially those who have come to the clinic seeking second opinions after trying elsewhere previously. One fun fact about Tracie is she loves crafting - especially sewing and bejeweling pieces. In her own words, “Nothing wrong with a little razzle dazzle!” 💎

A fun Staff Highlight to take you into the weekend and help you get to know our great staff even better 🥰

Our wonderful Kylie competed in the OZ Tag Interstate Series Tournament held in Miami, QLD at the end of September! It was NSW v QLD, best of 4 games. Her team won 3 and drew 1 💪 Kylie was selected into this team from the State Cup Tournament in March!

Way to go Kylie and team; what a huge accomplishment! 💛

Have you ever wondered about the term AMH, what it means, and whether or not it’s accurate?

Dr. Clark is addressing that question here today and giving you a rundown on AMH, or Anti-Müllerian Hormone…or as Dr. Clark calls it, Anxiety Making Hormone, as women often get anxious about their AMH levels, although Dr. Clark reaffirms that it’s not something to use to solely inform your fertility journey.
