Stress doesn’t always show up emotionally first - sometimes the body feels it before we fully realise how overloaded we’ve become.

Tight shoulders
Jaw tension
Headaches
Poor sleep
Feeling physically drained

These can all be common experiences during busy or stressful periods of life.

Modern life places a lot of demand on the body, and while we can’t always remove stress completely, supporting movement, recovery, sleep, exercises and overall physical health can make a real difference.

At Stirling Health Professionals, our team takes a whole-body approach to helping people move and feel better through all stages of life - whether that’s through chiropractic, physiotherapy, massage or movement support.

Back pain can look very different from person to person.

Some people exepreience short-term flareups after lifting or physical activity, while others notice persistent tension, stiffness, or pain that lingers for longer periods.

There are also different patterns of back pain, including:
- Non-specific low back pain
- Acute pain
- Chronic pain
- Referred or radiating pain

Understanding what may be contributing to your symptoms is often an important first step toward supporting healthier movement and wellbeing.

At Stirling Health Professionals, our multidisciplinary team takes a whole-body approach to helping people move and feel better through all stages of life.

🧡 June is Spinal Health Month 🧡

This month, we’re joining the Australian Chiropractors Association in supporting the Healthy Spine, Healthy Mind campaign.

Many people think of back pain as purely physical, but it can affect much more than movement alone. It can influence how we sleep, our energy levels, stress, confidence, and overall quality of life.

Modern life places a lot of demand on the body.

Long workdays.
Busy family schedules
Hours spent at screens
Stress
Reduced recovery time.

Our time, these demands can add up and many people notice this through headaches, tension, stiffness, fatigue, and back discomfort.

Throughout June, we’ll be sharing practical tips, movement advice, healthy habits and education around supporting spinal health and overall wellbeing through every stage of life.

Over the next 4 weeks we’ll be exploring:
🧠 Mental health and Back pain
💻 Work-related Back Pain
🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Families and Back Pain
🚶‍♂️Healthy Ageing and Movement

At Stirling Health Professionals, we believe movement matters.

Whether it’s chiropractic, physiotherapy, massage, exercise, recovery or simply helping people better understand their bodies, our goal is to support healthier movement and wellbeing for our community.

Because a healthy spine supports a healthy mind.

Simple habits to support family movement

When life gets busy, it's often the simple things that get overlooked.

Long periods of sitting, screen time, carrying kids, work, school - it all adds up over time.

For many families, it's not about doing something wrong...
It's just the reality of a full, busy day.

The good news is, supporting your body doesn't need to be complicated.

Small habits like:
🔸 moving regularly
🔸 changing positions
🔸 being aware of posture
🔸 taking short breaks

Can all help your body stay adaptable and supported

Over time, these small changes can make a real difference, in how you feel day-to-day.

For some families, having their movement checked provided helpful insight into how their body is adapting to daily life.

From there, it becomes easier to make simple, practical adjustments that fit into your routine.

💭 if you've been feeling the load of daily life or want to understand how your body is moving, this is often a good time to check in.

Movement is a big part of how kids learn about their body.

Through play, sport, and everyday activity, they're building coordination, balance, and confidence - often without even realising it.

But with more time spent sitting at school or on devices, some kids aren't moving as freely as they used to.

Sometimes it's subtle...
Less interest in activity
A bit more clumsiness
Or just something that feels a little different

It doesn't always mean something is wrong - but it can be helpful to understand what's going on.

That's where having your child's movement checked can provide clarity.

We look at how your child is moving, adapting, and developing - and guide you with simple ways to support them as they grow.

💭 If you've been wondering "is this normal?" Or have noticed changes in how your child moves, this is often a great time to book a check in.
