Now live in the community: Earlier this year, we shared news about a new partnership between The Royal and The Ottawa Police Service - Service de police d'Ottawa to better support people in mental health crisis. Now, that Mobile Crisis Response Team is officially out in the community.

What does that mean?
When someone is experiencing a mental health crisis, a specially trained police officer and a mental health professional from The Royal can now respond together- right on scene - to provide support, de-escalation, and connection to care.

This is about making sure people get compassionate, person-centred help when they need it most.

We’re proud to be part of a more connected, community-based approach to improve access to mental health care in our region.
