Organiser Laura runs Coffee Cake Create CIC using arts and creative activities to offer safe spaces where people can breathe, connect with others, get creative and simply be themselves.

We are delighted to have funded and supported this group, along with over 100 other volunteer-led community activities that bring people together to help reduce loneliness and isolation.

Hey guys 🙂

So earlier this year, Alana - Performance Artist and I co-hosted Flow & Colour events,so now feels good to share the story behind it.

During 2025, I found myself struggling with my mental health and facing trauma. After reaching out to Alana, we realised we'd experienced very similar challenges at different points in our lives, and our friendship formed.

This year we decided to bring our art forms together to help others. Alana found comfort in hula hooping, while I turned to colouring, art and baton twirling. These creative outlets have helped us both immensely, and we've seen how they can support others, too.
Now we're excited to announce that Flow & Colour is returning! Details are on the poster below.

Join us for a warm, welcoming hour of movement, creativity and mindful moments,.We'll also be sharing our very first duo LED flow performance 🙂

Here's a little video of us finding calm and comfort through free-flowing creativity. 🥰

Hey everyone 🙂

Just a little reminder of what's coming up with Coffee Cake Create 💜

🎨 Thursday 22nd October | 1pm–2pm Weekly colouring at Monkey Park Cafe. Come along, get creative and enjoy a little bit of time for yourself. Refreshments are available to purchase from the cafe.

🎃 Monday 26th October | 6pm–7pm Halloween crafts and colouring at Grassmoor Community Centre. Everyone is welcome!

🏮 Wednesday 28th October We'll be joining Grassmoor Community Venues for their lantern workshop.

👀 And finally, there's some exciting things coming up that we're working on behind the scenes, so watch this space!

Wow 🥹

This evening at Grassmoor Community Centre marks our first time we've filled the room! Thank you so much to all the lovely people who came 🙂

It's moments like this that make all the background work and persistence worth it.

It's been 8 months since Coffee Cake Create was born, and it's now starting to get off the ground 😃
We will see you next time! 8th October, 1pm–2pm at Monkey Park Cafe, Brampton.
