Transforming Lives through Care, Innovation and Compassion Provide is a Community Interest Company (social enterprise).

We deliver a broad range of health and social care services in the community, and are committed to making sure that they are safe, responsive and of high quality. We work from a variety of community settings, such as three community hospitals, community clinics, schools, nursing homes and primary care settings, as well as within peoples’ homes to provide over 50 services to children, families and adults. We provide services across Essex and in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire, as well as the two London boroughs of Waltham Forest. We have an income of approximately £67 million, employ over 980 people and serve communities with a total population of more than 4.5 million people. We are not able respond to clinical or medical questions via Facebook, but can signpost you to where to get information, advice or support. Today, we're proud to celebrate our incredible Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and the fantastic work they do every day to transform lives and make a real difference to the people they care for, by listening, understanding, offering expert advice and providing reassurance when it's needed most.

Our volunteers have been getting hands-on to help create spectacular Remembrance displays for Chelmsford and South Woodham Ferrers.
Invited by Chelmsford CVS, Sarah Wright, our Volunteering Manager, joined volunteers from St Peter’s Hospital and Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust to help sew some of the tens of thousands of beautiful knitted and crocheted poppies onto netting, ready to transform local landmarks this November. With plenty of teamwork, chatter and laughter, an incredible number of poppies were added! The finished displays will provide a striking focus for Remembrance while also highlighting the important work of the Royal British Legion Royal British Legion and supporting fundraising.
A brilliant team-building experience and a wonderful way to make a difference in our local community.

We are proud to be one of the first organisations to achieve the new Smokefree Employer Award from Essex Working Well 🚭
The award recognises our commitment to supporting colleagues’ health and wellbeing, including trained Very Brief Advice Advisors, workplace and digital health checks and clear routes to specialist support for anyone who wants to stop smoking.
It’s already making a difference, three Provide Community colleagues have successfully become smokefree with support from our in-house NHS smoking cessation service.
As lead provider of Essex Working Well, we are especially proud to lead by example, putting into practice the workplace wellbeing approaches we support other organisations across Essex to adopt.

Our Essex Wellbeing Service Outreach Team recently joined local partners for a litter pick along Clacton seafront, helping to create a cleaner, healthier environment for everyone to enjoy.
Alongside making a visible difference, the event was a great opportunity to get outdoors, be active and connect with others – supporting both physical and mental wellbeing.
Residents, visitors and the local lifeguard team even stopped to thank everyone for their efforts!
A fantastic example of social value in action, showing how collaboration and volunteering can bring people together with a shared purpose and make a real difference to our communities.

We’re rounding off our Health and Wellbeing Week 2026 with a session supporting brain health and protecting long-term cognitive wellbeing with simple techniques that we can use every day.
As this year’s event draws to a close, we would like to say a huge thank you to all our expert speakers, for sharing your knowledge and insights, and to our colleagues for engaging and bringing such fantastic energy to the week.

Today’s sessions are helping us to save money by making savvy choices, cooking budget-friendly home-made takeaways, building confidence in managing our money and preparing for the future, and protecting our money with practical tips to spot and avoid cybercrime.

Across Provide Community, delivering safe, high-quality care is something our colleagues contribute to every day – by listening, learning, speaking up and continually looking for ways to improve the care and support we provide.
Ahead of World Patient Safety Day, colleagues from across our services have been getting involved and sharing their commitment to patient safety.
A huge thank you to our Quality and Safety Team and everyone who has taken part.
Because patient safety is everyone’s responsibility and every action can make a difference.

Sometimes even a short break can make a difference.

Our lunchtime activities for Health and Wellbeing Week are giving us time to recharge and discover something new. We have three wonderful workshops on Pure Essential Oils, Reflexology and Desk Yoga. Colleagues can also book a seated massage, at three of our locations, for a quick reset and relax.

We can’t believe we’re half way into Health and Wellbeing Week already! Wednesday is all about boosting your body and mind for the long run. We’ll be exploring what the world’s longest-lived populations can teach us about food and healthy ageing, delving into the science behind healthier skin, nails and hair, and learning practical tips to support our health and wellbeing, now and for the future.
