Today is International Nurses Day, and here at Beechwood, we want to shine a bright spotlight on the incredible nurses and healthcare assistants who keep our practice running!
​Our nurses are the heartbeat of this surgery. From managing chronic conditions and complex wound care to those vital immunizations and life-saving screenings, they do it all with expert skill and a kind word for every patient. They are the "bravery experts": Making sure even our smallest patients leave with a smile (and maybe a sticker!).

Did you know bladder cancer is one of the most common cancers, yet it's rarely talked about?
This May, for Bladder Cancer Awareness Month, Beechwood Medical Practice are shining a light on the symptoms everyone should know.

The most common sign is blood in the urine. Even if it happens once and goes away, its worth calling the Practice for advice.

Other symptoms can include:
Frequent or urgent urination, pain or burning when urinating, lower back pain on one side.
Early detection saves lives!
