For the past month, we have been running our 'Feel Good Friday' initiative to show our wonderful team just how much they are valued and appreciated.

Working in care takes immense dedication, passion and hard work, so Fridays have become our special way of bringing an extra smile to everyone's day.

So far we've organised sweet treats and chocolates, given thank you key chains, cards and positivity stickers. 🌟

A massive thank you to our brilliant team for all they do for both our residents and your colleagues!

We are delighted to announce we have four Stars of the Month for September! A massive congratulations to Natalie, Gemma, Fern and Aminah! 🌟

Natalie was nominated by a residents' loved one for actively encouraging her mum to engage in activities and always going the extra mile.

Gemma has recently transferred from housekeeping to care and has already proved that it was the right decision. She works extremely hard, maintains high standards, and is always kind and supportive to our residents.

Fern only joined us in August and has already shown that she consistently demonstrates passionate support for our residents, ensuring they all feel comfortable.

Aminah also joined us in August but has already showcased her commitment to colleagues, empathy towards our residents, and passion for providing quality care.

Today is World Mental Health Day and we want to remind those we support, family carers, and our community to extend the same empathy and compassion to themselves that they give to everyone else.

Prioritising your mental health shouldn't be viewed as a luxury, it is essential. Listening to your body, setting boundaries, and knowing when to ask for a helping hand are all key steps to ensure your mental wellbeing is valued at all times.

Taking time to rest, asking for support, or simply reaching out to a friend isn't just good for your own mental health, it creates a healthier, happier community for everyone.

Together, we can ensure the people we hold dearest feel supported, valued and heard. 🩵

Our home has been buzzing with activities recently, and our residents have been getting stuck into a little bit of everything!

We've shared plenty of laughter trying on some funny wigs, kept moving with our exercise sessions, and enjoyed singing and dancing. 💃

We also tested our knowledge with an animal quiz, and hosted an Autumn cafe with plenty of treats and hot chocolate! 🍰
