If you’re struggling with a running injury, one of the first things we look at is stability.

It’s not always about running more or stretching more. Often, it comes down to how well your body is controlling movement with each step. Poor stability can place extra load through the knees, hips and ankles, which is where many running injuries begin.

That’s why we focus on targeted exercises to build strength, control and stability in the key areas that support your running. Small changes, done consistently, can make a big difference to how you move and how you feel.

If running is currently uncomfortable or you keep picking up the same injury, it might be time to get it properly assessed.

On a personal note… 💛

Olivia, one of our physiotherapists who works across both clinics (so you may already know her from your appointments), is taking part in Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life 10K this Father’s Day.

She’s running in memory of her Dad and Grandad, who both sadly passed away from throat cancer.

Olivia is raising money for the hospices that cared for them and supported her family during such a difficult time, a way of giving something back and saying thank you.

If you’d like to support her, you can donate here 👇

COMING SOON… 👀

We’re excited to be introducing a brand new treatment at Nottingham Sports Injury Clinic… PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) injections.

It might sound high-tech, but it’s actually a natural treatment that uses your body’s own healing ability in a more targeted way.

PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma, a treatment that uses a small sample of your own blood to help speed up healing.

Here’s how it works:
• A small blood sample is taken
• It is spun to concentrate the healing cells
• It is injected directly into the area causing pain

These platelets release powerful healing signals, helping your body repair itself more effectively.

All treatments will be carried out by Dr Elgerray using ultrasound guidance for precision.

If you’re curious and want to be first in line when we launch, DM us PRP and we’ll add you to the waiting list 💬
