๐ Today, on World MS Day, we shine a light on Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and the strength and resilience of those living with this condition across Ireland and beyond.
MS is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system, often causing chronic pain, fatigue, mobility challenges, and many other life-changing symptoms.
๐ก Chronic pain is one of the most common and debilitating aspects of MS. When the immune system mistakenly attacks the nerves, it can lead to inflammation, nerve damage, and disrupted pain signals that impact everyday life.
๐ Raising awareness of MS and the realities of chronic pain is vital to improving understanding, support, access to care, and ongoing research.
At Chronic Pain Ireland, we are committed to supporting people living with chronic pain through education, advocacy, resources, and community support. Learn more about the supports available: https://chronicpain.ie/how-we-can-help/
