There is a lot happening around us right now.

We may not have answers to everything that is happening. But we can make a little space to come together, listen, reflect, and simply be with one another.

In collaboration with Bihani’s mental health partner, MindSpace , we invite you to join us for a virtual experiential session:

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭: 𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 : 𝑨𝒏 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒃𝒚 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆 × 𝑩𝒊𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒊

𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐰
• 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆: Acknowledge the current situation and create a safe space.
• 𝐌𝐄: How do we respond internally to difficult times?
• 𝐁𝐄𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐔𝐒: How do difficult times affect our relationships and communities?
• 𝐏𝐒𝐘𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐘 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒: Explore a few relevant psychological perspectives.
• 𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐃 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄: Make space for the wisdom and experiences of Bihani members.
• 𝐓𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑: What helps us remain connected and human during difficult times?
• 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆: Reflection and takeaway.

𝐌𝐄 → 𝐁𝐄𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐔𝐒 → 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 → 𝐓𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑

Sometimes, we do not need to have all the answers. Sometimes, simply coming together, listening, and sharing can help us feel a little less alone. See you there 🌿

“You’re just being lazy…”

This is one of the most common labels people carry quietly.

But what often gets called “laziness” is something much more complex.

It can be the heaviness of depression that slows everything down.
It can be burnout that makes even small tasks feel exhausting.
It can be anxiety that keeps the mind stuck between starting and avoiding.
It can be emotional overload, where the system simply cannot take in more.

From the outside, it may look like inaction.
From the inside, it can feel like constant effort just to stay afloat.

When we reduce these experiences to “laziness,” we shift the focus from understanding to judgment. And over time, people begin to internalize this—questioning their own worth, discipline, and capability.

A more helpful place to begin is curiosity.

Instead of asking, “Why aren’t you doing more?”
we can ask, “What is making this difficult right now?”

That small shift creates space—for insight, for compassion, and for change.

At Mindspace, we believe mental health conversations need to move beyond labels and toward understanding. Because when people feel seen rather than judged, they are more likely to seek support and begin again.

Mindspace and Bihani Social Venturebihanisocialventure are proud to introduce the voices who will bring “Stories That Shape Us” to life.

From lived experience to reflection, this dialogue brings together two journeys shaped by resilience, service, and self-discovery.

Chandra Rai (73), a former government nurse and public health leader whose life continues to evolve through storytelling, community, and meaningful engagement in later years.

Rajesh Katwal (27) , a student and counselor whose path, marked by struggle and turning points, reflects the courage to choose oneself and begin again.

Together, their stories invite us to pause, listen, and reflect on what truly shapes who we become.

In collaboration with Bihani Social Venture, this intergenerational dialogue creates space for connection, perspective, and shared humanity.

Maybe people have told you to be stronger.

Maybe you’ve told yourself the same thing. But what if you’ve already been strong for far too long?

What if carrying everything alone, pretending you’re okay, and hiding your pain has been exhausting you in ways nobody can see?

You are not weak.

Feeling tired, overwhelmed, or in pain doesn’t make you less. It makes you human.

Real strength isn’t suffering in silence. Real strength is noticing when it’s too much, giving yourself permission to rest, and letting someone support you.

It's okay to ask for help. You deserve care, understanding, and space to heal. Right now, that is enough.

We often hear phrases like “it’s just a phase” when someone is struggling emotionally, withdrawing, feeling low, becoming more anxious, losing motivation, or not feeling like themselves.

Sometimes it is said to comfort. Sometimes it is said because people do not know what else to say. And sometimes it becomes a way of dismissing pain before it is fully understood.

Yes, some feelings pass. Some seasons of life are temporary. But temporary does not mean unimportant.

A phase can still affect the way someone sleeps, studies, works, connects, eats, or moves through their day. A phase can still leave someone feeling alone, confused, ashamed, or unseen.

And sometimes, what looks like “just a phase” may be grief, burnout, anxiety, loneliness, depression, stress, identity struggles, or emotional overwhelm asking to be witnessed with more care.

Not everything has to become severe before it deserves support.

You do not have to wait until you are falling apart to ask for help.
