Another successful Atlanta Center for Gastroenterology ACG GI Nutrition poster Jefferson Health presentation, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital GI/Hep Fellowship Program fellow poster sessions, and an incredible educational experience for everyone! 🎤📚

I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my clinical GI nutrition case, connect with colleagues, and learn from fellow researchers and clinicians at the ACG Annual Scientific Meeting in Nashville.

A special thank you to Kate Scarlata | GI Dietitian for her amazing contributions to GI Nutrition and to Austin Chiang, MD MPH for sharing insights into career options and professional opportunities. These conversations and connections make conferences so valuable! 💙

But the real highlight was watching my boys step into the professional world — engaging in conversations, meeting new people, and learning the art of networking as they explore their own professional futures.

As parents, we always worry about how our kids will navigate the real world. Then you have moments like these that remind you they’re finding their way, building confidence, and creating their own paths. ❤️

And apparently, they look young enough that everyone thought they were high school students!

Please visit my abstract poster at American College of Gastroenterology in Nashville to learn how Jefferson Health multidisciplinary team managed a severe refractory multiregional GI dysmotility in a 21-year-old female with hypermobility spectrum disorder, POTS, and mast cell activation syndrome. Extensive food and medication allergies, along with multiple complications, contributed to significant weight loss and malnutrition. I’ll discuss how we developed an individualized nutrition support plan using a tolerated plant-based peptide formula while tapering off TPN, which improved her nutritional status.

Happy 48th, aka 84th Birthday 🎂 to my beautiful 🌼, compassionate 🥰, loving 💞 Mom ❤️ and best friend!
The one person I can call ☎️ anytime, for anything, and always know she’ll be there. I am so grateful to share another trip around the sun ☀️ with her!
And isn’t there a birthday rule that once you reach a certain age, you start counting backwards?!
