Kendall has worked SO hard on the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge, and he’s asking for your help to get to the finish line! 🐎💪

Kendall has talked throughout this challenge about what it takes to feed the herd for an entire year.

That’s a whole lot of hay, feed and care — but it’s also what keeps the herd there for the people who need them most.

STEPS With Horses uses equine-assisted therapy to help veterans and teenagers. These horses do so much more than eat hay. They create connection, confidence, healing and hope. ❤️🐴

And y’all… you absolutely knocked it out of the park yesterday!

Kendall is making incredible progress and we are proud to support his journey!

I made my 1st check point. For the 1st Quarter, I’m 164 miles out of route, mostly last night this morning.

I’m the 13th person to check in.

To add to the story this morning I feel fresh, as if I’m on day 1, amazing what sleep can do and right frame of mind.

For the first 72 hours of the 2026 Hoka Hey I’m at 2780 total miles. That was at 6am central.

This photo has been heavy on my heat all morning, I think Snoop has been fueling my energy today and is what I needed.

Trust. Communication. Teamwork. 🐴

On Friday, the Recovery Resource Council Development Team traded the conference room for the arena, where our horses became their teammates and teachers.

Through experiential activities with our equine partners, they discovered that leadership is about connection, awareness, and working together toward a common goal. Horses provide immediate, honest feedback, creating powerful opportunities for growth that can't be replicated in a traditional classroom.

Thank you to The Council's amazing Development Team for jumping in with open minds and willing hearts. Your passion helps make healing possible every day.

We’re incredibly grateful to our longtime friend, Kendall Hayley, for choosing to support STEPS With Horses as he prepares to take on the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge.

Before hitting the road, Kendall visited our new home to share our story, our vision, and the needs we’re working to meet as we continue providing equine-assisted mental health services.
