The Therapy Collective

The Therapy Collective Approaching therapy co-operatively, through individual and community connection. I am flexible in my work and continuously learn with and from my clients.

I provide counselling services to adults of all ages and adolescents (aged 14+). I believe each client is unique and accordingly tailor my practice to each individual.

I am trained in various modalities, from which I often draw in my practice; these include dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), EMDR, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). My appro

ach is variable, depending on what you would like to work through.

I have been in the mental health field for a number of years in various roles, working primarily with not-for-profit organizations in the Saint John area. I have presented and published on a range of topics including personality, attachment, executive function, substance use, and trauma - all of which complement my abilities as a clinician. I know that the healing process is not the same for everyone and that rigid approaches to treatment may not always be appropriate.

Pride Month is a celebration of authenticity, resilience, community, and joy. It’s also, at its core, a protest. It is a reminder that the work toward equity, safety, and inclusion is far from over.

Across Canada and around the world, many 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals continue to face discrimination, barriers to healthcare, social stigma, and policies that impact their ability to live openly and authentically. Safe spaces, affirming healthcare, and inclusive policies remain essential, not just during Pride Month, but every day of the year.

We believe everyone deserves access to care that is affirming, respectful, and grounded in dignity. Our practice is committed to creating a safer space where q***r, trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive individuals can explore their experiences, access support, and be met with compassion and understanding.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the strength and diversity of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities while continuing to advocate for a future where affirmation, belonging, and equitable access to care are realities for all.

Happy Pride Month. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Hannah's reflection on the Artemis II mission invites us to consider something different about connection and distance:
What if distance doesn’t mean separation? What if we’re more connected than we feel...even across space, time, and change?

You are not separate. You belong to something shared.

What does this perspective shift for you?

We have been thinking a lot about what it actually means to be accessible right now. The cost of living continues to rise across Saint John and New Brunswick, we know that even low-cost therapy options can feel out of reach.

So we've made a change. Our low-cost program is now $10 a session until August while Hannah completes her practicum. This is about making therapy a real option. If you have been needing support but holding off because of cost, we hope this makes it feel possible.

Spots are limited... but we would love to connect with you. You can text, email or book directly with Hannah here: https://therapycollectiveatlantic.janeapp.com/locations/the-therapy-collective-saint-john-new-brunswick-office/book #/staff_member/6

Caring for each other starts with caring for ourselves. If you’ve been putting yourself last, pushing through, or telling yourself you’re “fine”… this is your reminder that your wellbeing matters. You don’t have to wait until things feel overwhelming to get support.

If you’re looking to start therapy, Hannah and Tammy are currently accepting new clients and would love to support you.
