“It was absolutely fantastic. I cannot believe I got to drive two cars that I have always wanted to drive!" 💜

Peter, a resident at Colne View, got back behind the wheel for an unforgettable driving experience after sharing his wish to drive a supercar once again.

Thanks to Care UK's Wishing Tree initiative, Peter took to the track in an Audi R8 and a Porsche 911 Carrera using adapted controls, before enjoying a high-speed passenger ride that brought back the thrill of driving.

Heathlands House care home in Cambridge is taking part in a new programme designed to reduce the need for hospital visits among residents.

Doctors are now visiting care homes to provide ongoing care and clinical support through the Enhanced Reviews in Care Homes (EnRICH) service.

This partnership with Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) brings together hospital geriatricians, community nurses, pharmacists, care home teams and GPs.
Since its introduction, the programme has reduced hospital admissions from care homes by nearly 25%.

After a dementia diagnosis meant he could no longer play the sport he loved, Robin enjoyed an emotional return to the golf course with a visit to Thorpeness Golf Club, where he took part in a dementia-friendly Forget Me Not session.

The memorable outing was made possible through Care UK's Wishing Tree initiative, which helps residents revisit lifelong passions, discover new hobbies and make meaningful memories.

There were smiles all round at Glastonbury Court as residents welcomed local children for a fun-filled afternoon of gardening🌱

As part of Generations of Change, a Care UK initiative that brings young and old together to make a difference, residents and children planted flowers, painted pots and shared gardening tips.

The activity comes as residents prepare the home's gardens for this year's Bury in Bloom competition, with everyone working together to help the outdoor spaces flourish.

Meet Lexi, the much-loved feline ambassador at Sandfields care home.

Lexi has been a relaxed and cherished member of the Sandfields family since 2014, when she was adopted as a stray. Since then, she's made herself right at home, spending her days soaking up the sunshine, keeping a watchful eye on the grounds, and carrying out her very important cat duties.
