A trip down memory lane 💜

Marjorie, resident from Invicta Court had her wish granted by the Care UK Wishing Tree iniative, returning to two special places from her past - Holy Cross Church, where she married her husband Jack in 1954, and Bearsted and Thurnham Tennis Club, which they helped establish more than 70 years ago.

It was a wonderful day filled with treasured memories, familiar faces and plenty of stories ✨

Construction is underway on our brand new care home in High Wycombe! 🏗️💜

Set to welcome its first residents in summer 2028, the new home will provide residential, dementia and respite care for up to 78 older people, alongside luxury facilities including a cinema room, hair and beauty salon, café, spa bathroom and beautiful landscaped gardens.

We’re excited to see the vision taking shape and look forward to creating a welcoming new home for the local community.

Today is National Arts in Care Homes Day! 🎨

Residents at Appleby House care home in Epsom enjoy everything from arts and crafts to music, with the home’s ‘Appleby Tate Gallery’ showcasing their artwork.

For one resident, an abstract painting afternoon was a chance to try something completely new. Initially intimidated by the blank canvas, she soon found joy in seeing her creation come to life - describing the experience as feeling 'liberated'. 💜

A very special wish came true for Frances! 💜

At 101 years old, Frances, a resident at Tor-Na-Dee care home, had one simple wish - to return to her favourite shop, Marks and Spencer, where she had spent many happy hours shopping with her daughters and friends.

Thanks to Care UK’s Wishing Tree initiative, Frances was treated to a VIP day out, enjoying a warm welcome with flowers and alcohol-free fizz, a pampering session, time to browse the latest collections and afternoon tea in the café.
