6th June 1944 🇬🇧
Today, we honor the courage and sacrifice of the Allied troops who stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day. Their bravery in the face of unimaginable odds helped pave the way for a free Europe. We are forever grateful for their service 🤍

Whilst we had fun taking photos at Maples for D-Day 📷 We also took time to reflect 🇬🇧

✨Dementia Action Week May 18th - 24th✨
Forget me not the flower that symbolizes dementia 🩵
Yesterday afternoon Maples welcomed in for the first time Nina from Creative Mojo Ltd 🎨 Where some of our residents painted their very own dementia flower to create this amazing collage. There was chit chat, laughter & of course a cuppa ☕️ & piece of cake 🍰 A wonderful afternoon & a masterpiece at the end of it 🖼️

The "forget-me-not" is a small blue flower that serves as a universal symbol for dementia and memory loss. It is primarily used to raise awareness, show support for those living with the condition, and honor memories of loved ones 🩵
