What a lovely day we had when Alpaca Acres came to visit! 🦙❤️

Our residents were delighted to meet the adorable 7-month-old alpacas, Peggy and Percy, who quickly won everyone’s hearts with their gentle nature and friendly personalities.

The cuddles continued with the sweetest 4-week-old baby goats, Lilo and Stitch, who brought lots of smiles, laughter, and affection to everyone they met.

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with special moments, furry friends, and plenty of happy memories. A huge thank you to Alpaca Acres for bringing these beautiful animals to spend time with our residents – we can’t wait to welcome you back again

👑🎸 A wonderful day of creativity and music here at our care home!

Today, our residents enjoyed making their very own royal puppets in preparation for King Charles III’s unofficial birthday celebrations tomorrow. There was lots of imagination, laughter, and artistic talent on display as everyone got into the royal spirit.

Residents are now looking forward to watching the Trooping the Colour celebrations tomorrow and continuing the festivities together.

This afternoon, we were also delighted to welcome the lovely Edmund, who serenaded us with his guitar. His beautiful music had everyone singing along, tapping their feet, and reminiscing about favourite songs.

A big thank you to Edmund for bringing so much joy to our day. ❤️

What a lovely day our residents have had! 🌞🌷

This morning, everyone enjoyed choosing their countries ready for the World Cup, which starts tomorrow. There was lots of excitement and friendly discussion as residents picked their teams. Good luck to all the countries taking part! ⚽🏆

This afternoon, our residents spent time caring for the front garden. With smiles, sunshine, and watering cans in hand, they enjoyed watering the flowers and helping our garden look beautiful. Gardening is a wonderful activity that promotes wellbeing, teamwork, and pride in our surroundings. 🌼🌿💧

Today at our care home, residents enjoyed a wonderful day of activities, taking part in both doll therapy and bingo.

Doll therapy provided comfort, companionship, and many heartwarming moments, encouraging conversation and nurturing memories. Our residents also had great fun during bingo, with plenty of excitement, laughter, and friendly competition throughout the game.

It’s always lovely to see everyone engaged, smiling, and enjoying time together. Thank you to all who joined in and helped make today so special. ❤️

Today we celebrate 82 years of D Day. We were proud to commemorate D-Day with a very special visit from the D-Day Dollies at our care home.

Residents, families, and staff enjoyed the morning filled with wonderful music, singing, and memories as we reflected on the courage and sacrifice of those who served during World War II. The D-Day Dollies brought the spirit of the 1940s to life, creating smiles, laughter, and plenty of opportunities for residents to sing along to some much-loved classics.

Thank you to the D-Day Dollies for helping us honour this important anniversary and for making the day so memorable for everyone.

👩‍🍳🍰 Baking day was in full swing this afternoon as our residents rolled up their sleeves to make their own delicious Victoria sponge cakes!

There was plenty of teamwork, laughter, and concentration while measuring ingredients, mixing the cake batter, and getting everything ready for the oven. The smell of freshly baked cake soon filled the home, making tea time even more special. ☕💛

Nothing beats a homemade slice of cake shared with good company!

Today our Residents spent time exploring our sensory blanket, filled with interactive features including zips, buttons, laces and different textures. These activities help to stimulate the senses, encourage movement and spark conversation, while also supporting fine motor skills and cognitive wellbeing.

Alongside this, everyone got creative making their very own flower portraits 🎨🌼 It was lovely to see so much imagination, creativity and joy as residents designed unique pieces of artwork to proudly display.

A fantastic day full of laughter, creativity and meaningful moments together 💙

Our residents and staff had a wonderful time enjoying a lively karaoke session together, with plenty of favourite songs, smiles, and unforgettable moments shared by all. It was lovely to see everyone joining in, singing along, and having so much fun together.
