Today our residents learned about Rosa Parks by watching a short documentary and taking part in a fun quiz afterwards. A great session of learning, discussion and remembering an inspiring woman who helped change history.

Our residents enjoyed a lovely arts and crafts session with Lucy from Creative Minds today, creating and painting their own beautiful shooting star pictures. A fun and creative afternoon enjoyed by all!

We had a lovely day today, starting with a fun game of Bingo. Afterwards, we welcomed Debbie Spain, who kindly read some of her own written stories to us. Thank you, Debbie, for a wonderful afternoon

After showing off their fantastic creations, we relaxed in our cinema room and enjoyed Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again

It is with great sadness that we remember our much-loved colleague and friend, Bert, who sadly passed away on 22nd August.
Last Friday, staff, residents, and relatives came together at Heathlands Care Home to pay their respects, share memories, and say their goodbyes to someone who brought so much warmth, kindness, and laughter to our lives.
While there were many tears, there were also plenty of smiles as we celebrated Bert’s life in a way we know he would have wanted. Our kitchen team prepared a lovely buffet, memories were shared, music was played, and there was even a little boogie in his honour.
Bert will be deeply missed by everyone at Heathlands, but his spirit, sense of humour, and the joy he brought to those around him will never be forgotten.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences remain with Bert’s family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
Rest in peace, Bert. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. ❤️

Today At Heathlands, our residents enjoyed sampling a variety of tasty mocktails and voting for their favourites. It was a fun-filled afternoon full of smiles, conversation, and delicious flavours. Cheers to trying something new
