Adventure, fresh air and wonderful memories at CareChoice Swords! 🧡

Our residents recently enjoyed a series of fantastic outings to Donabate, Malahide Beach and Malahide Castle. One highlight was our first seaside visit to the Shoreline Hotel in Donabate, where residents enjoyed coffee and scones while taking in the stunning coastal views before a relaxing walk along the cliffs.

Across all three trips, residents enjoyed fresh sea air, feeding the birds, beautiful scenery and plenty of laughter along the way. These special outings provide valuable opportunities for social connection, wellbeing and creating lasting memories together.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making these days so enjoyable for our residents.

🏅 From Bucket List to Finish Line 🏅

What started as a wish from our residents became a truly unforgettable day for everyone at The Marlay.

Our team proudly took part in the Mini Marathon on behalf of residents who had always hoped to complete the challenge themselves. The day was made even more special when they were interviewed by RTÉ and featured on the RTÉ website.

On returning to The Marlay, they were welcomed with a heartwarming guard of honour from residents, families and colleagues.

A day filled with pride, emotion and special memories that will be cherished for years to come. 💜

There were plenty of smiles in our Malahide Road home during a wonderful Get Active exercise class held out in the garden. 🧡☀️

Residents thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a variety of exercises while making the most of the beautiful sunny weather, with the session creating such a joyful and uplifting atmosphere throughout the home.

It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved and enjoying the fresh air together.

Residents at Newtownpark House enjoyed a lovely trip to Airfield Estate this week, taking in the beautiful surroundings, fresh air and wonderful atmosphere together. 🧡

Outings like these are always a fantastic opportunity for residents to socialise, relax and enjoy meaningful moments together outside of the home.

Recently in our Finglas home, residents enjoyed a fantastic visit from the AGRI AWARE mobile farm 🧡

The day was filled with smiles and great excitement as residents met a variety of friendly animals including pigs, chicks, rabbits, goats, and sheep. It was a lovely experience enjoyed by all and a wonderful opportunity to spend time outdoors with some very special visitors.

Recently in our Elm Hall home, residents enjoyed a fantastic day out at the Bealtaine Festival in Adamstown 🧡

From chair Zumba and arts & crafts to creating colourful wreaths to take home, the day was filled with fun, creativity, and great energy. A wonderful performance from a local choir brought a warm and joyful atmosphere, with plenty of familiar songs enjoyed by all.

Recently, residents from our Montenotte home enjoyed a wonderful evening out as part of the Bealtaine celebrations at one of Cork City’s most recognised landmarks, The Shandon Bells 🧡

The concert, held in support of St. Anne’s Church renovations, featured fantastic performances from the Cork Male Voice Choir and The Butter Exchange Band. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the evening, with many reminiscing and singing along to the familiar songs they remembered so well.

Earlier this month, staff from our Clonakilty home took part in the Darkness Into Light walk in support of Pieta House, coming together bright and early at 4:15am for this meaningful event. 🧡

Following the walk, everyone gathered together in the dining room for breakfast and a chance to reflect on the morning.

A wonderful display of support, community and togetherness for such an important cause. ✨

Residents from The Marlay recently enjoyed a lovely trip to the Pádraig Pearse Museum, spending the day exploring the beautiful surroundings, learning more about Irish history and enjoying time together outdoors.

A wonderful day filled with great conversation, fresh air and plenty of smiles throughout. 🧡
