A new school year is here. 🍎✏️

Of course we’re cheering for the learning, good grades, new experiences, and big accomplishments—but we’re also cheering for the things that don’t show up on a report card.

🤍 Asking for help when they need it
🤍 Finding friends who make them feel like themselves
🤍 Building confidence to try something new
🤍 Learning how to handle disappointment and hard days
🤍 Knowing that mistakes are part of growing
🤍 Feeling safe, supported, and understood

Because a successful school year isn’t just about how well kids perform. It’s also about who they’re becoming along the way.

Here’s to a year of learning, connection, confidence, and growth. ✨

Happy first day of school from In Tune Counseling! 📚

Meet Aimee 🤍 The kind of therapist who gets that sometimes life feels like… a lot.

Aimee loves working with teens and moms through the messy, overwhelming, growing parts of life.

For teens, that can mean anxiety, big emotions, confidence, friendships, communication, self-esteem, and tough behaviors.

For moms, it can look like postpartum changes, anxiety, overstimulation, relationships, feeling overwhelmed, or trying to find a little more room for yourself in the middle of motherhood.

Her style is warm, calm, and easy to talk to. She creates a space where you don’t have to have the right words or have everything figured out before you walk through the door.

A few things to know about Aimee:
🎶 Music + concert lover
🤍 Big believer in slowing things down
✨ Here for the big feelings
🌿 Focused on helping you build confidence and skills that actually work in real life

Basically: come as you are. Aimee will meet you there.

Aimee currently has openings for new clients at In Tune Counseling.

Women’s mental health matters. Maternal mental health matters.

Pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood can bring profound changes to a woman’s emotional and mental well-being. Conditions such as postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, and postpartum psychosis deserve awareness, education, early intervention, and compassionate care without shame or stigma.

As mental health professionals and as mother’s this is deeply connected to why we do the work we do. Women deserve to feel safe saying, “I’m not okay.” They deserve providers who listen, families and communities who understand the warning signs, and access to appropriate support before a crisis occurs.

We have to keep talking about maternal mental health—not only when tragedy brings it into the headlines, but every day.

Check on moms. Listen to moms; and remind them that asking for help is a sign of strength. 🤍

At In Tune Counseling, we will continue advocating for women and mothers through every season of life.

🎓💙💛 Back to Morgantown. Back to Campus. Back to A LOT.

A new semester at WVU can bring excitement, new opportunities, and new connections—but it can also bring stress, anxiety, homesickness, academic pressure, roommate challenges, and feeling overwhelmed.

Whether you’re starting your first semester or heading back for another year, your mental health deserves a place on your back-to-school list too.

Therapy can help you:
✨ Manage anxiety & academic stress
✨ Navigate roommates, friendships & relationships
✨ Adjust to living away from home
✨ Work through homesickness or loneliness
✨ Create healthier routines and boundaries
✨ Build confidence and feel more grounded

💛 You don’t have to wait until you’re struggling to reach out for support.

In Tune Counseling is here to provide a safe, supportive space for college students navigating all the ups and downs that come with college life.

💙💛 New semester. New challenges. You don’t have to navigate them alone.

The In Tune crew 🤍

We’ve grown a little around here, so it felt like time for a proper introduction.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing more about each of our therapists — who they love working with, what sessions with them are like, and a little bit about the person behind the therapist.

And a huge thank you to Iconic Lens Photography, LLC for capturing our team so beautifully and making these photos feel genuinely like us. 🤍

Can’t wait for you to get to know this crew.

✨ Help us welcome Erin to the In Tune team!

We’re so excited to introduce Erin, our newest Provisionally licensed counselor!

Erin has completed her Master of Science in Counseling and is now completing the supervised clinical experience required for independent licensure. She brings a strong educational background in psychology, sociology, human services, and counseling; along with a warm, down-to-earth approach that fits right in at In Tune.

Erin works with children, teens, and adults and is especially passionate about supporting anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, OCD, social skills, grief, identity, and the everyday stressors that can make life feel like… a lot.

At the heart of her work is something pretty simple: everyone deserves a space where they can feel safe, heard, and supported without judgment. 🤍

And because we firmly believe you should know your therapist is also a real human… Erin loves to crochet, read, thrift, make sourdough, and she has a porch goose named Sassafras, which may be our favorite credential yet. 😂

We are so happy to have Erin joining us and can’t wait for you to get to know her! 🦋

🌸 August is Breastfeeding Awareness Month 🌸

Breastfeeding is often described as “natural,” but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.

For many parents, the breastfeeding journey can bring a mix of emotions—joy, pride, exhaustion, frustration, uncertainty, and even grief. Every experience is unique, and every feeding journey deserves compassion, not judgment.

At In Tune Counseling, we recognize that your mental health matters just as much as your baby’s well-being. Whether you’re navigating feeding challenges, postpartum anxiety or depression, adjusting to life with a new baby, or processing unexpected changes to your birth or feeding plans, you don’t have to do it alone.

💚 Fed is best.
💚 Supported parents thrive.
💚 Your worth is never defined by how you feed your baby.

This Breastfeeding Awareness Month, let’s celebrate, support, and uplift every parent—wherever they are on their journey.

If you’re looking for a safe space to process the emotional side of postpartum life, we’re here for you.

Interested in resources be sure to stop by the Monongalia County Health Department, Morgantown, WV breastfeeding awareness walk this Friday!

Recovery takes a community, and West Virginians have always shown up for one another.

As families begin the difficult work of rebuilding after the recent flooding, even the smallest act of kindness can make a meaningful difference.

Titan Roofing & WVRC Media Flood Relief Collection is happening today, along with several ongoing donation locations in Morgantown for anyone looking to help.

Whether you’re able to donate supplies, volunteer your time, or simply share this post, your support matters.

If you know of another verified local donation drive or collection site, please share it in the comments so we can continue connecting our community with ways to help.

❤️ Keeping all of our West Virginia communities in our thoughts as they recover.
